Buzz buzz buzz!
Building hype for season 2 of Showtime’s best performing show, Yellowjackets, involved a lot of highlighting what people loved about season 1, doubling down on what fans might be hyped for, and pulling at the heart strings of 90’s nostalgia. Luckily, the agency won the whole 360 campaign and the team was able to cover a large and cohesive campaign, ranging from traffic-stopping billboards, to a retro and MTV backed MTV News report, and plastered up on websites and socials through digital ads, stunt sites and social posts.
It always feels good to work on a cool campaign for a cool IP. A rare win for the design gang.
Digital Campaign
Retro Media
Our brilliant broadcast team & strategy folks were able to get this hail Mary of an idea out the gate: We got MTV to fully back a cross collab with Yellowjackets to make a 90’s accurate MTV News report featuring the missing Yellowjackets story, complete with the actual Kurt Loder, de-aged by deep fake AI. At the end of the snippet, Kurt points you to a website to report clues for the missing Yellowjackets team.
In comes yours truly; while I only had a small hand at play with the MTV spot’s graphics, the 90s retro fun site was all in the hands of Digital David…
FYC Yearbook
Easily one of the coolest FYC pieces I’ve done – A yearbook-themed For Your Consideration booklet, featuring all the cast and crew nominated throughout the show. I wanna say thank you to my wifey for doing a lot of the hand-written critic quotes sprinkled throughout because my penmanship is very BOY. Had lots of fun helping design this one!
